Hello blog....

I know I know it has been entirely TuTu long since my last post. ;)

Unfortunately this will be a quick post due to the fact it is a beautiful day and My Livi wants to go to the park

Updates in no particular order :)

#1 Remember the our Fun, Fab-U-los Funky Marathon tutu ladies, well we finally got a picture of Miss Sally in her Fab-U-Los Betsy Johnson inspired TuTu. This is one of the many Marathons she has ran in wearing her TuTu...I just love the look on the gals face next to her :)

#2 I am happy to announce that BooKoos of Tutus is now being carried in bambini of bend.  "Bambini is a hip natural children's boutique offering stylish clothes, quality shoes, creative toys, unique gifts, and innovative gear for today's family". If you live in Bend or Central Oregon Check it out!!! bambini of bend is super cool and I am so excited to be in their boutique.

#3 I had a cusom request a few months ago to create a TuTu to match her daughters that I had previously made. How Cute Mommy & Me TuTu's well the cutestness doesn't stop there.   Kimi Goodman Mearse a lovely local lady, mommy, aspiring photographer and all around awesome chic I meet during one of the trunk shows decided to use her Mommy & Me TuTus during one of her scheduled maternity Shoots. What an awesome Idea!  Here are a few of the pics from her shoot.

#4 Marketing Updates:

If you notice I got a new Logo which I LOVE...I had to watermark my images because I was finding my TuTus images on other website that I am not part of.  :( Sad huh...I hope you don't find the water mark to distracting from the image itself, When the trial for my watermarking programs is over the little icon in lower right corner will go away. ;)

We have an Ad coming out in True North Parenting Magazine Super excited about that, hopefully it will help more of central Oregon discover BooKoos of TuTus...

And finally I would like to Thank whippersnappers studios for helping a gal out with some commerical photos.  Currently in the process of having the website revamped and Lisa and the lovely peeps over at whippersnappers studio in Bend helped us out. Not to mention the cutie local models that we are in the process of selecting.

Once the final selections have been made the models of the new TuTu line will receive some special goodies :) And they get to be featured on BooKoos of TuTus website and facebook page.  When the pics are up I will let you all know.

If you are in need of some family pictures or pictures of the kiddos TuTu's or not give them a shout. Not only are they local in Bend, Oregon but also have fantastic studio's in Keller, TX.  SanFransico, CA and Harker Heights, TX

P.S. all locations have  "BooKoos" of TuTus in studio in case you don't already have your own. :)

Okay Gotta head to the park now so if there are typo's or gramatical errors sorry but no time to fix gotta enjoy the sunshine while we can in life :)

Thanks everyone  and until I blog again Happy TuTu~ing!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday to BooKoos of Tutus and a few other special friends :)

About this time last year was BooKoos first "Official" Custom tutu.  The Tutu is still one of my favorites and I will always think of Sweet little Andi every Feb.  Her momma Jamie contacted me and ordered Andi's first birthday tutu....little pink zebra I called it. I worked with her and created what I thought was adorable little spunky mix....

This year when Feb rolled around I thought how crazy it was that I have been lucky enough to stay home with my Livi while making all these adorable tutus for little ones everywhere.  I have had customers all across the US and wanted to thank you all for the referrals.  Word of mouth is everything!
So I thought that since Andi and BooKoos shared a "birthday" she should have a birthday tutu this year.  I gave Jamie a shout and created at tutu for Andi's second birthday.  I was lucky that Jamie didn't think I was some kinda weirdo wanting to make her daughter a tutu as a birthday gift but since she kinda inspired me and got me started with BooKoos it was the least I could do.

Jamie was nice enough to let me  make it however I wanted and have artistic freedom.  Andi loves purple and since that happens to be one of my favorite colors it wasn't so hard to create a tutu for her.  I decided to mix part of her and part of me to make this one of a kind tutu.  Being a Kentucky Girl I Bleed blue so what a perfect combo but a mix of warm and cool tone purples and blues....

I got a wonderfully Sweet email and some lovely pics from Jamie and Andi and they were tutu cute not to share, looks like she had fun!

HAPPY 2nd Birthday ANDI
Thanks for being BooKoos of Tutus
Birthday Buddy !

This next little shout out has nothing to do with tutus.  But a wonderful little birthday treat that I had to pass along.

Feburary 10th is my Dads birthday, as some of you know my family is in Kentucky and I live in Oregon.  I wanted to do something special for my dad's big day and was pretty sure a tutu wouldn't do it ;)  While at Union College I Met a pretty cool chick. Rachel Lewis.  Through the magic of Facebook I noticed Rachel started http://www.shebakescakes.com/
Have you ever watched Ace of Cakes or Cake Boss?  She makes this type of wonderfully beautiful and Yummy(so I hear) cakes.  I became a fan on fb and had to have her make one for my dad.  He is a golfer and pharmacist and I think she did an amazing job.  Check out the link to her fb

Rachel is in the process of moving to Jacksonville Fl.  So if you know anyone near pass her along she does amazing work!

Happy Birthday to everyone who celebrated this month
Have a great day and don't forget.......

You are never too old for a tutu!

Marathon Tutus

Hello all,

I know not much progresss on the website or blogging but it's in my thoughts.  Got a lot going on around here...I Can't give you all the details yet, but soon. Other than the normal tutu orders for birthdays I have been a busy little tutu guru the last month..

A few tidbits of information to hold you all over until better blog topics.....

Projects in the works:

~BooKoos of Tutus just finished a pair of tutus for San Fran and we have been given the title of official TuTu supplier of whippersnappers studios. They are awesome and a have locations in: Bend, OR, San Francisco, CA, Keller, TX and more locations set to open throughout 2010

I am pretty darn proud that my little tutus will be helping capture the magic. I Love whippersnappers, we have been taking Livi there since we moved to Oregon and I am honored to be part of there family! Check them out: http://www.whippersnappers.com/How_We_Make_Magic/default.aspx

~Thinking this spring I will have enough money saved up to do a professional full photo shoot for the website. This may involve a casting call so bend oregon tutu fans let me know if you are interested.

~Another cool bit of information that I am super excited about. I am making a set of TuTus for two ladies(yes grown up little girls) to wear while they are participating in a half marathon in March in Alanta....I think with the fun these ladies will have they call definately call it HotLanta.

I am anxiously awaiting the supplies to finish tutu #2 of the set but here is a sneaky peak of our fun, funky, fab-U-los Wild Strawberry Zebra tutu, it's partner in crime will be a sour appletini tutu...How can they not do well looking so yummy

Don'w worry I am going to do a full blog about this with updates on how our tutu friends did

Well I promised my little lady a playdate outside there is only so much one can tutu and twirl indoors until next time.....

New Year New Things

So it has been a little over a year since I started my little tutu biz....BooKoos of Tutus has grown into quite a passion for me. I love the creative freedom I get in custom creating tutus for little ones.

This Year I have decided to devote more time to BooKoos of Tutus....

I will start the blog for you who want to know what's happening in our tutu world.

I promise to get the website not only up and running but looking pretty cool hopefully ;)

I hope to get my tutus carried in a retail store and continue to grow and grow and grow.....

Until Next time
Go Twirl and have Tutu much Fun!
